It is a critical step before operation: it establishes that the installation starts from a sound baseline.
Commissioning involves checking all busways and splices and also makes it possible to verify the design. The design must meet every building constraint: expansion, room ambient temperature, firestops, and support system.
New installation
Full validation of an installation at rated current, with an automatically generated test report.
Existing busways
At any point during the life of an installed sensor, an automatic report can be generated for a selected time range.

LOAD TESTING
What Hotspot Tracking analyzes.
Load testing validates the installation on the following points:
01
Splice torque
Torque check for each splice, verified under rated load.
02
Surface temperature
Analyzed in relation to room ambient temperature.
03
Stabilized thermal conditions
Validation of installation behavior once thermal conditions have stabilized.
04
Hottest points
Identification during commissioning of the hottest elements: firestops, expansion joints, etc.
05
Compliance with IEC 61439-1 and 61439-6
Verification that the installation complies with IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-6.
PRECISION & COMPLETENESS
More precise and more comprehensive than market alternatives.
Current systems, including thermal cameras, quickly reach their limits: difficult access, complex interpretation, and specialist expertise required. Hotspot Tracking commissioning reliably measures every point, during commissioning and in operation.
Market alternatives
Thermal camera: measurement points are often difficult to access
Data can be distorted when several busways operate at the same time
Requires manual report creation
Data interpretation is difficult without specialist expertise
Hotspot Tracking commissioning
System use during commissioning and operation
Automatic report by busway and splice
Expertise built into every analysis
Report generation even during operation
Reliable data, especially when several busways run in parallel
COMPLEMENTARY TO INSTALLATION
We do not replace the installer. We validate their work.
Commissioning does not compete with structure installers: we assess the installation and its design.
Our solution makes it possible to assess every aspect of a complex busway project:
Correct busway sizing
Compliance with the manufacturer’s installation rules
Temperature checks at the hottest locations, such as firestops
Correct busway response to expansion

Monitoring

FROM TESTING TO MONITORING
Commissioning establishes the baseline. Monitoring takes over afterward.
Measurements made during commissioning form the thermal baseline of your installation: the documented healthy condition of every splice at startup. Monitoring then uses that reliable baseline to track each deviation over time.
Day 0: commissioning
Every point measured and documented before energization. These measurements define the installation’s baseline condition.
Then: continuous monitoring
The HQI of every splice is tracked over time from that reliable baseline to detect the slightest deviation.
